The Latest Yakicukipuki News

In the last days I kind of gave up the blog. Here are some stats if you are interested:

Google has changed it's index several times. Yesterday I was the first, Paul was the second. Later some other pages were added at the top. But I'm still the number one! Sorry, some s p a m follows: yakicukipuki is the best, yakicukipuki is my favorite martial art. If you go in for yakicukipuki you can manifest all your dreams!

I should say, social websites like digg.com and technorati.com are great to bring visitors to your website. But your site/blog must have value, so that the visitor returned later, and not just left the site after looking through it for 10 seconds. Google Analytics gives you such an information.

By the way, Google Analytics is a great toy! It generates a bunch of extremely useful graphs. If you'd like to have a look at the graphs you should have a Google account. Just email me your email address and I'll add you to the list of view-only users. My e-mail is

Google index updates

There is now more then one website for "yakicukipuki" in Google. And I have to admit that I'm not #1 :(. Steelgrayhound's blog is the first.

Why is it so? I can assume that his sub domain is older and more authoritative. Anyway, Google needs somehow to determine what is the main source and what is just a reference. My meta tags include keywords and description with "yakicukipuki". I have many articles with this word now.

I stopped promoting the blog through ICQ. My contact list is over. The total number of visitors reduced, they are mostly returning visitors now. Now I post comments in blogs from time to time. Posting at davydov.blogspot.com gave me 3 visitors. But it is a russian blog. Posting at english blogs should grab more attention.

Congratulate me!

The main news is that now I'm indexed in Google! Look at the results. I'm the only means I'm the first :)

After posting a link to each online person of my ICQ contact list I have a tremendous jump in stats:

A mate posted the link to this blog on his blog (thanks, Alexei). I've also got some very useful ideas from Katrinka - thank you too.

Most visitors come to the site using direct link. My best referrer is my opponents website (5 visitors). The second is Dmitry Davydov's blog (2 visitors), where I've posted some comments.

Interestingly, the geography of the visitors is spreading each day. Yakicukipuki is infecting the Internet (ok, I aggree it's too early to say so, but may I have a little fun?). Most of them are from Belarus and Minsk in particular. But today I see the visitors from Kruptsy and Turets. Wow, Internet archives the remote corners of my country.

State of affairs

Well, 24 hours have gone and Google still doesn't have this blog in its index. Waiting for it.

Here are some stats for the moment. The are very modest but anyway:

So: 10 visitors yesterday and 4 today. They are mostly from Belarus, as they came after I send them the link by ICQ. That is my greatest marketing strategy according to the numbers :).

Well, I remember that my aim is high Google rank either than high traffic. But I'm a bit frustrated while there are no my pages in the index. The two weeks may pass and still yakicukipuki is off the Google's sandbox. I don't have an information how long it takes to index a new blog and haven't find it yet.

Live, Lifehack

Made a comment on Lifehack. The problem is that the title of the url is Virgos, but should have been Yakicukipuki, I suppose. Nevertheless it will give me some visitors and that will increase the Yakicukipuki popularity.

I've also added the site to Microsoft's Live search. Maybe that will also help me. I want to see my blog in some search results to assure that I'm on the right path.

Google Analytics Counter

Now my yakicukipuki blog counts its visitors using Google Analytics.

Note for my opponent in the contest: beware that soon I will stop publish my detailed steps not to give you too much clues!

OK, enough for today. Let's go for a sleep and see how it'll look like in the morning.

Update: added yakicukipuki to Technorati.

Adding Yakicukipuki to Google Index and Weblogs.com

Just added an url to this blog at http://www.google.com/addurl
They say they "... cannot make any predictions or guarantees about when or if they [Urls] will appear". OK, let's see how it works.

There are also Google web master's tools at ttps://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/siteoverview . I've added Yakicukipuki blog there too.

Also pinged this blog at http://www.weblogs.com.

Yakicukipuki - go up!
